Building:
Identifying vocational skills, soliciting for building materials, and managing storage
Church Relations:
Being a spokesman for Habitat in your church, fundraising, and solicting volunteers
Family Partner:
Assisting and counseling new home owners on financial planning, maintenance, and all other aspects of home ownership. Possibly doing home visits.
Family Selection:
Interviewing applicants and researching their applications. Selecting families and presenting the selection to the Board.
Fund Raising:
Planning and coordinating activities to raise money, and enlisting civic groups. (Each Habitat home requires $65,000)
Corporate & Grant Writing:
Partnering with businesses, banks, and developers for volunteer support and contributions
Legal & Finance:
Preparing financial statements/reports/budgets and advising Board on all legal matters. Assisting site committee with title search on properties.
Public Relations:
Building relationships with local newspapers, cable, and radio. Informing them of our mission and events. Being responsible for newsletter, brochures, posters/flyers. Keeping photographic records of events.
Site:
Working with local towns, contractors, realtors, developers, and banks to obtain sites/properties
Volunteer:
Recruiting and coordinating volunteers for projects and special training.
